Training at El Camino Ranch

We accept Arabians, Half Arabians, as well as other breeds of horses in our programs. If you have a unique situation (special medication/ feed/bedding) we will work with you to come up with a custom training/boarding package.

**When riding on their own,  Customer provides the tack for their horse**

A Services Contract for Customers wishing to utilize El Camino’s Training programs will be available when you bring your horse to the ranch for Training.

MONTHLY TRAINING FEE’S

Amateur Halter Program with Johnny Irigoyen $200/Month

  Halter training for you and your horse. Horses of all ages are accepted in this program. Whether you want to show yourself, or prefer Johnny to take your horse to the top, this is the halter program for you. Johnny has a gentle approach to halter training. He is able to produce calm, ride-able horses when he is finished with them. We attend local shows,Arabian Community Shows, Class A  Arabian shows, Regionals, U.S. Nationals, and Youth Nationals.

 

Open Show Barn with Tara Ellwanger $300/Month

Tara specializes in, hunter pleaure, jumping, drassage, western pleasure, gymkhana, team penning, competitive trail, trail rides, and equitation. Tara’s barn is made up of Junior and Amateur riders who rent, lease, or own their own horse. El Camino Ranch escorts them to Open Shows, Arabian Community Shows, Gymkhana, and Trail rides.

*Training fee’s include two lessons per week (a private one hour lesson and an optional group lesson).*

Green Horse Program with Kayla Shively $300/Month

For the “Going Under Saddle” horses, El Cmino accepts horses as young as two years of age for this program. Starting from the ground up horses will learn how to cross tie, clip, lead, lunge, long line, and eventually accept a saddle and rider calmly and happily. Kayla builds a trusting relationship with each horse providing a solid foundation for the future.

Exercise $150/Month

Includes exercise three times per week. exercise includes grooming, hot walks, or turnouts.

Private Lesson with EC Trainer……..$60/hour

HORSE SHOW FEES

Open Show, Gymkhana & Arabian Community Show,Class A Arabian Show, Scottsdale Show, US Nationals ……$100/day

Above includes grooming supplies, care, prep, and extra lessons. these show expenses, must be paid 1 week in advance of the show. Additional expenses may include transportation which will be billed prior to the show.

Additional show expenses include: entry fees, transportation, early arrival fees, veterinarian charges, medications, treatments, and pro-rated costs.

Pro-rated expenses will be billed after the show, and actual costs divided by the number of horses attending the show, and includes groom and tack rooms, trainer and groom meals, hotel, overtime, and bedding for horse.

Visa & Master Card Accepted, with convenience fee added.
