El Camino offers training services for horses of all breeds and ages. We have professional trainers on staff that specialize in different areas. El Camino can help you transform you unbroke green horse into a seasoned trail or show horse. Although we show and compete with our Arabian and Half-Arabian horses on the national level, we also attend local open shows open to all breeds. Whether your goal is to develop a better working relationship between you and your horse, or to compete on the show level, El Camino has a place just for you. You will have the time of your life here at El Camino!
We accept Arabians, Half Arabians, as well as other breeds of horses in our programs. If you have a unique situation (special medication/ feed/bedding) we will work with you to come up with a custom training/boarding package.
HALTER TRAINING WITH JOHNNY IRIGOYEN $200/MONTH
Halter training for you and your horse. Horses of all ages are accepted in this program. Whether you want to show yourself, or prefer Johnny to take your horse to the top, this is the halter program for you. Johnny has a gentle approach to halter training. He is able to produce calm, ride-able horses when he is finished with them. We attend local shows,Arabian Community Shows, Class A Arabian shows, Regionals, U.S. Nationals, and Youth Nationals.
SHOW BARN WITH KAYLA SHIVELY $225/MONTH
(includes one lesson per week)
Kayla specializes in, hunter pleasure, western pleasure, gymkhana, saddle seat, showmanship and equitation. Kayla’s barn is made up of Junior and Amateur riders who rent, lease, or own their own horse. El Camino Ranch escorts them to Open Shows, Arabian Community Shows, Gymkhana, and Trail rides.
GREEN HORSE PROGRAM WITH JOEL CAMPOS $350/MONTH
For the “Going Under Saddle” horses, El Cmino accepts horses as young as two years of age for this program. Starting from the ground up horses will learn how to cross tie, clip, lead, lunge, long line, and eventually accept a saddle and rider calmly and happily. Joel builds a trusting relationship with each horse providing a solid foundation for their future in and out of the show ring.
EXERCISE $150/MONTH
Includes exercise three times per week. exercise includes grooming, hot walks, or turnouts.
