El Camino Ranch has a modern Breeding Lab, which supports our breeding program of our own mares, and our stallion; and where we also collect, pack, and ship stallion semen going to our customers around the country. Our Breeding Manager is certified by Colorado University Advanced Equine Reproduction Department. Mare care at the ranch is also available. We have frozen semen for our stallion and for two previous sires. 
We have two local veterinarians who assist us in embryo transfer; and in management of mares being bred to outside stallions. We welcome your visit to El Camino Ranch and our breeding facility. You may call Valerie Thomas, our Breeding Manager, to discuss your breeding plans. We stand one Arabian stallion, the *Ali Jamaal son, Dream Quest, a U.S. Nationals Top Ten Stallion. We also board and breed mares who are receiving TS from another farm. We will be happy to help you arrange for your mare’s breeding.

Breeding Staff
Scott Reeves
Scott has been actively involved in El Camino’s breeding program for a number of years now. He spent time in Fort Collins, Colorado, in November, 2009, attending Equine Reproduction classes, including Artificial Insemination, Cooled and Frozen Semen Transport, Foaling Equine Babies, and Mare and Foal Care. He works here at the ranch in the Breeding and Health Care Department with Valerie Thomas.
Valerie Thomas
Valerie has been with El Camino for over 15years. In that time she has bred and welcomed over 150 foals into the world. She has wide-ranging experience in breeding. Whether she is handling frozen semen, or a maiden stallion Valerie is educated and experienced. In addition to her husbandry skills, Valerie is also El Camino’s Health Care Manager. The Health Care department monitors and maintains the health of every horse on the ranch. This could include anything from bandaging the occasional scrape to balancing nutrition. Valerie has recently retired from El Camino to tend to her own farm. She is only a phone call away as Valerie has stayed on as a consultant to El Camino.
